How to make a decoration with dried wild plants and flowers

For this decoration I used dried oregano, buttercups, chive flowers, lady’s mantle, mugwort and different kinds of grass that were picked last summer, bundled up and left in a dark, well ventilated room hanging down.

They were all growing wild or in our gardens, as you know we like things to be local, wild and free here.

  1. First fill a jar or vase with sand. This makes it easy to give the decoration the shape you want.

  2. Add the flowers/herbs/grasses little by little. Trim excessive leaves away.

  3. Make sure some of the plants are high, some are low and some are sticking out to the side, to give that sense of a wild flower field.

Et voilá!

I also made a small versions to put on the dinner tables in the restaurant.
