Transitioning into our new form: What is happening in the forest these days?
Stedsans is right now in a transition period - from the ‘old’ version to the new that will see the light in spring 2025. Here’s a little update from us about what’s going on. Below we also answer the big question: What’s next FOR US?
While the days are getting shorter and the weather colder, we are nowhere close to going into winter hibernation just yet. Quite the opposite, actually!
As you know if you read our last blogpost/newsletter we have decided to continue working on making Stedsans an even more beautiful and inspirational place to visit. From spring 2025 Stedsans will rise in a ‘new’ form, with 7 opening days per week and lots more going on than these last few years where we have been focusing on our Friday and Saturday dinners only.
The most amazing team members have started flowing our way, and we are spending these autumn days getting both them and us ready for the new Stedsans adventure. The team will be taking over while we go on a long and well deserved break around Christmas time that we plan to return from in March. We have therefore set up a winter concept that can run without us, and we have lowered the prices significantly.
What’s new?
The winter concept will be carried out by our steady team while we are gone, a team of skilled and good-spirited people. Our focus when creating the winter concept has been on offering an excellent but very down-to-Earth food and nature experience. On Fridays we have developed some super yummy recipes for slow cooked food that will be served in a big pot on the table, and something nice and sweet to end the meal with. On Saturdays we serve our most loved classics that we know just always work. It’s 4 courses, and a little more formal than Friday. But still relaxed share food, the way we like it. This way it’s also obvious to stay 2 nights to get the full wind-down experience of healing forest magic.
Book the glass house for retreats, private dinners, conferences…
With the new concept for winter and spring we can also take in retreats, weddings, private dinners and conferences at much lower prices than before. So if you are on the lookout for a very special venue for your event, take a look at our new offers here:
… and Christmas!
And wouldn’t a snow covered forest be the perfect place to celebrate a Christmas party with friends or co-workers? We would say so.
We have put together a delicious Christmas menu, and started taking in bookings for private parties.
But of course you can also just gather a few friends and come visit us in December, like normal.
So - are you going or are you staying?
A lot of people have been confused about the question in the headline - not least after national Danish newspaper Politiken brought an article about our decision to move away from Sweden right at the same time as we made our decision to stay working on Stedsans public. Total confusion!
The honest answer is: It’s complicated! But another just as honest answer is that we ARE staying with Stedsans, while we will also be moving out of the forest and away from Sweden. We will be here a lot, but not have it as our home anymore.
That’s as much as we can say for now guys. Thanks for your interest in our little family and our adventurous, winding journey of always being true to our hearts. We will share more when we’re ready.
With all our love,
